Wait, my mug can talk?!

 

Welcome world! NosyBetsy is a fun faith-based homeware business that specialises in ceramics. We love God and we love people (hug). We care about our community and we’re helping build up and encourage people one beautiful fine bone China mug at a time.

 

We know from experience that when you’re going through a challenging period in life, you might feel down, sad, angry, frustrated, you might even feel hopeless and depressed. If you believe in God, you might pray about the problem (if you can even get the words out). We found that in challenging situations, when we go to God’s word it can have such a powerful effect of comforting, encouraging, and building hope in us. That’s because God speaks through His written word – the Bible – and no matter what we face in life He is there to comfort us, lift us up, remind us of His presence with us and His love. So, we asked ourselves where can we put the word of God so people can encounter it and bump into it easily, even for a few minutes during a lunch break or while tapping away at your computer as you work. We didn’t want the ‘write the verse on a post-it and stick it on your bathroom mirror’ approach (come on, we’re not in the bathroom all day). We wanted to use everyday objects you have and interact with in your home or office as little messengers holding up the word of God. We combined our love for ceramics with the idea of putting the word of God in our line of sight and Nosy Betsy was born!!!

 

Our Smile mugs are lovingly designed and made in the UK. Each Smile mug has a bible verse on the lip and as you enjoy your favourite drink (or soup) on a nice day or a rainy day (bah humbug) you can meditate on God’s word. Our Smile mugs are the perfect companion while you’re (remote) working, studying, reading a book, having breakfast or whatever else you get up to. They are also great conversation starters for having a chat about Jesus with friends that are new to the faith.
